Been hard at it the past couple months with some new works,This one is in acrylic 24″x30″ Non graffiti but, significant to me.The hardest thing getting use to was the amount of time ,Patience ,I hated it at 1st .Obviously the more detail the larger the canvas you would need for spray can, brush is a whole different deal I had to calm down and try and enjoy the process, easier said than done. After a half dozen its growing on me.
My last real canvas was painted in 2010. ive finally sat down to start working on some new work in a variety of mediums.
This is a cool shot I got from Duce,I had a great time in Miami. It was a learning process in terms of getting the wall and the tools needed .This was our 1st trip down (All City Paint ),We had a change of the original wall then we needed a lift, ladders, all last minute.Considering that, I think we did ok, Gamma painted another portrait before hitting this wall.Me, I started w the character and worked to the S on the door then the L and I last not the best surfaces.Duce by far did the most work and killed it.Phued choose to do a solo deal which came off also.On the last day we knocked out a Kas Slip next to that Killer - piece which was all side busted.I even made a feeble attempt to tie in his theme.Next yr we know what we gotta do before hand organize and execute.Other images on the MPC blog. I was given a call to see if I would be interested in painting a set for this theater.I said yes before knowing what it was about. I went to meet Mary down there and she had already pulled some pieces of mine and glued them to a little set they had made, which was very cool. Anyway it will be some sort of city scape with random tags etc. I will be painting it on March 2-3rd.Feburary is a short month and ive been working on some new stuff,i also have a memorial type piece to do with Abba on Edith and Coal.Looking forward to it.Its a great old building behind LA underground off Central ave. if you are into theater /plays come check it out should be worth it.

Well ,I’ve finally been able to stop and take a breather from the whirlwind of the past couple of years.,.I think I’ve finally scratched the ich that drove me to paint every almost every weekend. The bright side with that painting came more opportunities than I could have imagined. From the commission work,to the MPC Blog, teaching class for the city of Albuquerque, building this website with work from the past 4 years ,and last but, not least finally being able to sign a published book deal about the Mighty MPC crew. All this after being gone over 20 years crazy just crazy!! Thanks to my Wife for putting up with my craziness and everyone who has been apart of it. Anyway after mentioning for the past couple of years to no avail I was going to work on some drawings and canvas.Well ,after Miami and talking with Blade I finally sat down and started. I’m looking forward to working with the different mediums as of now I’ve done some watercolors,a couple pastels both chalk and oil, acrylic, and a couple mixed media. And just like my writing, lettering ,I don’t follow rules, or false stigma’s about what should be.Ill leave that to the self-appointed critics and kings of blahty blah bullshit!.Ipaint what I want to paint period!.As it warms I’m Looking forward to getting in the garage my studio and tackling some large surfaces with the cans.So that’s where im at people’s, trying to put to bed the MPC stuff and now put that focus and energy solely on my own work.Im in the process of adjusting the site with work,Thanks being a part of the ride ,I look forward to the road ahead. Here is a sample at an attempt in water 11×15 “,140# paper title-Graffiti Vandal!. Peeeeeeeeeeeeace.
